Alyreth left his unfavorable desert homeland in search of delicious food and drink. His travels took him to a faraway tropical island where the local humans had perfected brewing beer. Alyreth had never heard this peculiar beer drink but quickly fell in love with the golden nectar of the gods.
The islanders had heard tales of dragons but had never met one. Overjoyed that a magical creature had come to their island, they happily offered Alyreth their prized brews. Alyreth drank and drank and he basked in his new friends’ admiration. His belly grew along with his esteemed reputation.
Alyreth now spends most his days lazily enjoying the tropical sunshine. Once a graceful flyer, Alyreth now only flies during the islanders’ festivals. He happily puts on a clumsy aerial performance after which he is presented a magnificent bounty of cold, sudsy beers. It is often asked why Alyreth has earned the name Strong Wing due to his wings seemingly shrinking in size as his girth grew. You have to understand this: it takes a mighty set of wings to lift something so heavy!
