Verathriaxus the Dawn Stalker is a legendary dragon from Thunderwake and the enchanted kingdom of AleRún, known for appearing in the final moments before sunrise when taverns are nearly empty and the last surviving drinkers stumble home. Silent and watchful, Verathriaxus glides across the skies searching for those still awake at dawn, carrying an ancient enchanted chalice said to refill itself with crimson ale beneath the morning stars. The ale itself is infamous throughout AleRún, rumored to be so impossibly strong that even a single sip can instantly incapacitate most mortals — and more than a few dragons.
