Jamesthrax is a legendary river-serpent dragon from the wealthy realm of Gildervault, famous for stretching his impossibly long body across bridges, waterways, and tavern docks while partying from sunrise to sunset. Known for carrying multiple drinks at once in his claws and tail, Jamesthrax believes no celebration is complete unless the entire shoreline can hear it. Travelers along the river often spot him weaving through the skies above the water, laughing loudly and spraying half-finished drinks into the air as passing boats cheer below.

Though enormous in size, Jamesthrax is surprisingly friendly and thrives on attention. In Gildervault, festivals often become twice as large the moment he appears, as crowds gather hoping to witness one of his over-the-top drinking displays or impossible aerial stunts with his long body. Jamesthrax insists he’s “guardian of the river spirits,” though most believe he simply enjoys being treated like the star of the party.
